Ball State has a young offense, but some quality returning talent should make them entertaining to watch.
Leading the way is quarterback Nate Davis, who came on as a freshman and threw for 1,975 yards and 18 touchdowns. He completed a career-best 27 passes against Northern Illinois and will be a much-improved leader on offense.
Davis has several quality targets, including returning receivers Louis Johnson and Dante Love and junior tight end Darius Hill, who had 10 touchdown receptions last year for the Cardinals.
Four returning starters give Ball State good depth on the line, with junior tackles Andre Ramsey and Robert Brewster joined by junior center Dan Gerberry and guard Kyle Cornwell.
