The uncertainty of Callahan staying as the Nebraska football coach is increasing with each day. That means that recruits that came on to work with Callahan and his staff are getting a little anxious, and they should. The Omaha World Herald talked to Callahan about recruiting. He said "there's a lot of uncertainty surrounding the program, parents want stability and continuity."
This is evident with heralded Husker recruit, running back Jonas Gray, who on Monday decommitted from playing Nebraska football. This thinking also showed up with Missouri recruits Blaine Gabbert and Will Compton (two of the best recruits the Huskers have). They both visited Missouri on Saturday and witnessed the Tigers maul Texas Tech 41-10. Oops.
I'm not worried to much about RB Jonas Gray. He obviously doesn't know what he is thinking because he committed to Notre Dame. NOTRE DAME! If he left because the Huskers were having a bad season he picked an even worse team to go to, the Fighting Irish are 1-7. Good luck Jonas!
Personally I don't know why the kids are decommitting. Callahan will be gone after the season, what more could they ask for?
