The Nebraska football team will look to hog-tie Virginia Tech quarterback Tyrod Taylor when the Huskers take on the Hokies this Saturday in one of the ABC-televised football games of the week.
The Huskers are looking to continue a winning streak that has stretched to six games, dating back to last season. Nebraska opened the season with a 49-3 win over Florida Atlantic, then played solid defensively in a 38-9 win over an Arkansas State team that scored 61 points in its season-opener.
Nebraska will face a solid multiple-offensive unit in Virginia Tech, which has racked up more than 500 yards on the ground in its two games against Alabama and Marshall. The Hokies started the year as a top 10 team and are currently ranked 13th in the AP poll and 14th in the coaches poll, and they will face a Nebraska team ranked 18th and 19th, respectively, heading into Saturday's game.
The Huskers will have one more non-conference game before the start of Big 12 play, as they will host Louisiana-Lafayette next Saturday, Sept. 26, at Memorial Stadium. You can get tickets to see Nebraska football in action now at Ticket Express -- where no Husker football game is ever sold out.
