Nebraska football coach Bo Pelini had the Huskers back in practice Saturday morning before flying to New York City to support Ndamukong Suh, who was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.
While Suh did not win the Heisman, he cleaned up with a ton of awards, including the Outland and Lombardi trophies. He will be honored locally at the Outland banquet in Omaha this January, weeks after leading the Huskers in their 2009 finale at the Holiday Bowl in San Diego, Calif.
As far as practice goes, Pelini told reporters that he doesn't expect any major changes between now and the Dec. 30 matchup with Arizona at the Holiday Bowl, but expects the time before the game to be spent improving execution and simplifying things."
Nebraska, 9-4, is set to face an 8-4 Arizona team that beat perennial Pac 10 powerhouse USC and finished as the conference runner-up. Pelini said his team is focused on getting ready to play "a good football team in Arizona" at the Holiday Bowl.
