No ticket may be hotter this year, though, than the Oct. 16 game against Texas. Two of the Big 12 Conference's most storied programs will go head-to-head in Memorial Stadium in a rematch of last year's controversial Big 12 Championship game.
Nebraska fans thought they had slayed the dragon when Colt McCoy's pass sailed out of bounds and time ran out on the clock. Officials ruled, however, that one second still remained and that was enough time for Texas to kick a field goal and beat the Huskers 13-12.
That win still sticks in the craw of a lot of Husker faithful. Nebraska players are wearing special red bracelets this year as a reminder of how close they were last year, and a video that was meant to fire up the Husker faithful included a "Beat Texas" slogan before school officials had the slogan removed from the final edit.
