The addition of new coaching to the Nebraska football staff has given a new sense of enthusiasm to fans with Nebraska football tickets as the Huskers head into their first season in the Big Ten Conference.
With Tim Beck moving up to offensive coordinator and the addition of Rich Fischer (receivers), John Garrison (offensive line/tight ends), Corey Raymond (secondary) and Ross Els (linebacker), coach Bo Pelini has some new eyes and some talented football minds that will help Nebraska continue their move back up into the nation's elite in college football.
Pelini said that he has hired coaches that he is familiar with and has respect for, both professionally and personally. These new coaches may not be familiar to Husker fans, but Pelini knows their work well and feels they will bring a lot to the table when Nebraska kicks off the 2011 season this fall.
Nebraska will open the season at home on Sept. 3 against Tennessee-Chattanooga, and they kick off Big Ten play on the road at Wisconsin on Oct. 1 before Pelini's alma mater, Ohio State, comes to Lincoln for a visit on Oct. 8.
