If you have Nebraska football tickets, you are no doubt looking forward to a great season of watching the Huskers play in the Big Ten Conference.
If you're going to watch the games at home, though, you might run into some trouble, as some cable networks have yet to get on board with the conference's own TV network.
Recently, Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany came to Nebraska with conference president Mark Silverman to talk to representatives from cable providers in Lincoln to make sure the conference network is distributed on a level of service similar to that being distributed by cable networks in other states in the conference.
One cable system, Time Warner in Lincoln, seems to be dragging its feet on the issue, which might put the status of some Husker games in jeopardy for cable subscribers to watch at home, especially in Lincoln.
Several cable networks in Nebraska, including American Broadband in the northeast part of the state, have already added the Big Ten Network to its expanded basic cable service, giving Husker fans who are served by that cable company access to the conference's network, since last fall in anticipation of the move by Nebraska from the Big 12 to the Big Ten, which will become official on July 1.
